Description: This educational opportunity will provide an in-depth discussion of how to use this basic screening tool to look at the social-emotional development of young children, including how and when to refer for further assessment. Training components will include screening, question clarification, maintaining professional boundaries, integrating parenting, and cultural and gender differences when interpreting screening scores, outcomes and much more. There will be a heavy emphasis on social-emotional development and problem solving to give clinicians the tools to carry through with treatment plans and referrals. In addition, the new ASQ Manager will be presented that allows clinicians to tabulate scores and identify areas in which the child needs further assessment. The ASQ Manager tool places the information into a printable document for sharing with parents and generates a letter to parents explaining the results.
